Bias in Algorithms

Algorithms are becoming an essential part of our life. We are using computers more and more to sort through possibilities that would take years for a human to sort through. By utilizing these, we are saving time but how accurate are these algorithms? These algorithms are opinions embedded in code based off what people think. This means that their results will be biased based off the natural bias of humans. This forces job applicants to be discriminated against, possibility of people to commit a crime to be biased, and a lot more varying from extreme to simple things. But how do we stop that? We must fact check these algorithms by knowing what they will try to be bias about and resolve this. This must happen before release of the algorithm that is created. By doing so, we are creating an even field for people to be compared evenly and not be discriminated against. By using non bias algorithms we can also remove the natural bias of humans.
